Earn A Living From eBay???

I was wondering if any of you make a living off of selling on eBay. If so, how long did it take for you to be successful? And also, what's your gross per month?

I don't sell products from eBay, but if it's one thing that I did learn with my online selling experience was that it's hard work! Ebay is probably the best way to sell a product or service online without much hassle, the members area is laid out very well and you can easily keep track of products sold, products still being at auction and payments.

Like with most methods of making good money online, you need to have a niche market and a strong advertising method that will grab your markets attention, if this can not be reached, don't expect to get optimal results from it. Ebay does a great job of "automating" everything for you, but their selling fees may hurt you if you are selling cheap products.

Since I'm a reader, I used to sell used books on eBay. For a couple of years, I made a nice little profit, but now I can't afford to match the prices of the people that basically run bookstores from eBay. Unless I have something really unusual or rare, it's not worth the trouble. (Now I know how the little bookstores felt when Borders and Barnes and Noble came along. Ouch!)

I have a friend who put her husband through medical school by selling on ebay. So yes you can make a pretty good living on there.

No I do not make a living off of ebay. I make some extra money but that is about as far as it goes.

I knew a few powersellers who are doing well in ebay. Some sell almost anything under the sun with good dropshipper contact. And having a niche product to sell works best.

However, high fees and other fees from ebay is bad for one's financial health

If you are looking for complete ebay marketing guide, just Google it and you have all the information resources within a few clicks.

So true! It always gets bad for honest, small businesses when huge groups can afford to undercut the market, or absorb fees without batting an eye.

it depends what are you selling and if you can keep selling it all time. you can get some money form ebay but remember you still have some costs.

You need to research which products sell well on ebay and find deals on them to make a nice profit. I use ebay to supplement my other online businesses and I don't depend entirely on ebay. I suppose I could work full time on ebay auactions but I don't enjoy it enough to do that.

With the right drop shipper, you can make a living off of Ebay. I am an Powerseller and have been for a few years. I have reecntly moved on to selling on my website, but I still sell quite a bit on Ebay. You just have to find what sells the best & go with it.
