Working from home and spending time with your loved ones has been the aspiration of hundreds of thousands - you are lucky to be one of them - inova.

However, time management should be considered and working for 8 hours per day - if you consider it as a home based business - should be treasured.

When we have online business, we need to focus and put in some effort to remind ourself that we are running a home business and you have to consider it as a real business.

Only then you will feel comfortable with your current situation.

Home business, however, comes in many forms and shapes and your time spend is directly proportional to the nature of your business.

1) If you are a freelance writer, you will definitely be busy with the deadlines from your project,

2) If you are an ebay seller, you need to focus on your business - deliver the product on time - to avoid negative feedback,

3) If you are into MLM, downline and matrix building for your group, you will definitely be spending most of your time advertising your affiliate links,

etc, etc,

The best home business concept (in my personal opinion) is creating a membership website for your niche that will create residual income for you - month after month after month.

I have seen guys making more than US$500,00 per month - using this concept.

Feeling an adrenaline rush? More works ahead.

a) Consider what niche to focus on. Do you enjoy fishing? Birdwatching? Dog training?

b) Where to get the product : Free and paid products that you can resell are everywhere, Just Google it. Ask for great resources in forums, etc,

c) Where to get the software : I know of a few great softwares out there. Beware of the free ones, it may not work to your expectations.

d) How to install it? Dozens of resources are available out there.

e) Where to get good hosting account? ( be careful of this. this is your business foundation. make sure you have reliable hosting account)

You see, online business is just like a brick and mortar offline business, i need time to create the foundation and go through the maze of hows and whys.

Its not easy but FOCUSING in what you want and taking ACTION is the secret to your success.

Hope this helps.

Working from home is great because you avoid all the politics that develop when working with other people. The only stress I have is being sure the money flows.

The downfalls are the boneheads that don't respect or understand you are working. Also those that don't respect your time and space.

Thanks I though it was just me, sometimes I to feel that way. I guess that in the end people do need to be around others. It makes things a bit better some how when you can just talk to a few friends at work, about work. It sure beats sitting in front of the PC all day by yourself.

I love the freedom. Of course with it comes greater responsibility. I'm the only one in charge and if something doesn't get done, I have no one else to even think of blaming!

I really enjoy working from home and I believe you have to enjoy what you do to be successful. You do have to set limits on the time you put into it because it can consume your life. You have to be disciplined when you work so you can get as much done in the shortest amount of time so you can spend time doing other things. The other ideas mentioned like doing some work with a laptop in libraries is also good.
