Default Online Success - Where to start

Hi,

You might ask what online success means. Well only you can answer for yourself that question. Only you can decide what you want to do online and then you need to determine what level of results you expect to achieve. So based on the above we can say that online success could be the following three things. First, you make a decision, second you determine your expected outcome and thirdly you take action and make it happen. So after you have done these three things and you experienced the expected result you can say that you were successful.

Different people might have different reasons why they want to be successful on the Internet. Some of these reasons might be that you just want some extra income to balance the books. Other people might want to replace their 8 to 5 jobs and make a living from an Internet business for various reasons. You might have a great idea and you want to know how to get it started and build on it. Then you get the people that are interested to share information and communicate with other like minded people. We can keep on listing possible reasons why people are interested in the Internet. I think you might get the idea.

The three things you listed sound easy, but most of the new comer don't know where to start. Any good suggestion for the newbies?

sakkie: I agree, there are many reasons one would pursue online success, and "online success" does mean different things to different people. However, my experience pretty much nails online success to include building a successful enterprise for increased revenue. In other words, the bottom line for most people would appear to be to make money and to continue to make more money. And, for the purist, that entreprenuer would also engage in an online enterprise that positively impacts his potential prospects and customers -- a smart approach for many reasons.

As a "still up-and-coming" online entrepreneur, I'll be the first to tell you from my experience what people want. It may sound rude, but many believe that making money online is a "1, 2, 3 step" process. Thanks to these useless programs being promoted and brainwashing everyone to think its an easy process, the "average" person believes it is.

Sure, success can come from online business, but it IS NOT easy. I'll tell you that from the perspective of somebody who has been doing it for almost 3 years and honestly has yet to see any money. Am I doing the whole process wrong? No, because first, we all have our own unique ways of marketing and advertising online. Some want to start slow and gradually build, some want to head dive in and run themselves into a solid brick wall.

So here is the deal, before perceiving the fact that online money making is a 3 step process and you can consistently make money from blogs and such, think "outside of the box" first. Slow down, take your time to learn the in's and out's and you'll be successful.

Here are some ways to make money online. These are general topics that you can research on one (or all) of them.

Online Business Through Dropshipping: Ever heard of the saying "it takes money to make money?" Sure you have, but in a way its not true. Of course you'll need a small investment to get your website up and running, but you can sell items from dropshipping companies. How this works is simple. You search items in the catalog that the dropshipping warehouses usually supply, then you upmark the price and sell the item and you keep the profit.

And before saying "well I can use eBay" ... don't forget, eBay does charge "fees" to list and sell on their site, so you still need some form of investment.

Affiliate Marketing: Making money by referring people to try out other companies products or services has got to be the easiest way of making money. So easy that I endowed the term "work WITH them, not FOR them." Think about it, sending them customers get you paid and in a sense, your working "with" the company, not "for" them (which many believe working "for" them simplifies the idea that your an "employee.") Sorry if that does not make any sense.

Them 2 are the core way's of making money online, doing a little research could shed more light on different ways to make money. If you already own a business OFFLINE, you'll want to look at putting your business ONLINE as well, and gain an more open range of customers. Plus, the internet is "always on" ... so you can make money 24/7 (even while you sleep as some of the "useless" programs put it.) << Hey, at least they sometimes do tell the truth, right?

Personally, after being in Adsense for over a year, I'm going to look into affiliate marketing. JLH

I wouldn't (in my own personal opinion) go with AdSense because of the fact that its hard to get any kind of revenue from it. Unless you have severely high traffic and your AdSense campaign is well-managed, AdSense isn't suggested in my opinion. Although it can give you a LITTLE bit of revenue.

One thing you could do though is offer free hosting to people who agree to post your AdSense, that may give you a little more then average. Me myself... I am not a huge fan of AdSense.
