Default If Affiliate Marketing Is Your Choice, Use The Right Tools

Hi netbusinesstalk Members:

My name is Don Resh and I've been running a very successful Internet Marketing business for quite a few years now. Thinking back over the scams, lies and downright theft that was bestowed upon me in the early days, I decided I wanted to help people break into the Internet Marketing world while avoiding the scammers.

I decided I could best accomplish that goal by offering advice and recommendations along with answers to your questions. To that end, I'm going to make regular posts to the better blogs and forums and monitor those venues for your questions and subjects to which I can provide some insight.

First of all, it is true. You really can make a good living on the internet. It's totally up to you. How hard are you willing to work? Your success is directly proportional to the effort you put into it.

It doesn't have to cost much, either. However, if you want to make an omelet, you have to break some eggs. Translated, that means that if you do spend some money, you're much more likely to achieve success - quicker.

Probably one of the best scenarios for those just starting out is to sign-up to several good affiliate programs that offer products that match your interest, or niche. All of my websites offer many products that I either created myself, have master resale rights to or have an affiliate relationship with the product creator. All of these sources are good and it is not unusual to mix them up as I do.

If you do become an affiliate marketer, you really do want to invest in a good link management software application. This will allow you to cloak your links, track your clicks and much more. Cloaking protects you from customers dropping your affiliate ID from the link and preventing you from getting a commission. Don't know why some do that, but they do. These link management products can range from $37 to $197 depending on their features and functionality. If your serious about affiliate marketing, no matter what niche you choose, the high-end software is worth it's weight in gold. It all depends on what you want to accomplish.

Your best bet is read the sales pages that describe the different products. Sign-up for the newsletters. Some of them contain a wealth of information and education and you can unsubscribe from any of them whenever you want. The point is, the more you read, the expertise you gain. You don't have to buy a product to read the sales page, but you will learn a lot if the product is legitimate and worth your time and money. Generally, you'll be able to tell.

One warning - sales copy tends to state the unusally high earning or sales potential of a product. As I said before, these high numbers are possible, but you usually don't get there overnight. Buy a product for what it can do to improve your business, not for a promise of instant riches.

If you're interested in promoting Internet Marketing software and information products, take a look at our sites for ideas and suggestions. If you want to chat about something, submit a ticket through the helpdesk on any of our sites. E-mail has gotten so spam laden that I can't find the legitimate messages among all the "enlargement" e-mails - if you get my drift.

Or, we can chat right here if you like. Your choice. If I can help in any way, I'd be delighted to do so.

First and foremost, enjoy being a netrepreneur.

I have also learned to check for support on affiiate sites. I want to see if I get a reply and how long it takes to get one. If they are slow or I don't get a reply I go to a different affiliate. It really pays to check who you are working for.
