Default Can the Internet overtake Television? Or has it?

I spend more time on the internet than I do watching TV. With the exception of the News and sports I rarely watch TV anymore. Even the news I don't care for too much right now because they focus on garbage most of the time. I get more information from the internet in one day than I get from television news in a month.

Do you think the internet can overtake TV? Or has it?

I would have to say I spend nearly an equal amount of time. However the net may overtake TV someday.

I think it will become the venue for all entertainment and communications, eventually. We are pricing those cards you can put in your machine to allow tv from cable stations to get through on the existing cable connection!

Back in 2000, I did not have a TV actually and relied a lot on iFilm. I have way too many favorite TV shows and I like my big screen TVs now.

There would have to be some hardware changes in people's household to really consider it I think. My monitor is 21" but the TVs are 60". I usually have the TV on in the background while surfing and reading the Internet

It will. I spend more time on the Internet than on TV as well.

The Tv is too easy to use to go away forever. The internet is getting there, but the TV still owns the market on easy, brainless, one-click, mind-numbing entertainment...
